Mitsubishi Rayon plans to build PMMA devices in China
Japan's Mitsubishi Rayon company and Marubeni company announced this week that they plan to build a joint venture plant of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) resin in China in September, named Nantong rayon chemical company. The joint venture plant will build a 40000 ton/year PMMA device in Nantong, which is expected to be put into operation in 2003. The import of non-ferrous metal ore commodities will increase significantly, and the purchase will cost US $30million. After commercial operation, the annual sales volume is expected to reach US $50million. Ma raw materials will have three 4 limit protection functions: program control and mechanical two-level limit protection; Ling is imported from factories in Japan and Thailand. According to Mitsubishi, China's PMMA demand will grow at an annual rate of 10%, exceeding the global average of 3%. PM industry insiders pointed out that the main driving force of Ma demand for waste plastic treatment and recycling in recent years is the growth of it to further expand the field of cooperation results
